This trek is one of the most spectacular mountain amphitheatres with
beautiful and mystic varied landscapes, overpowering ones senses with
gigantic and blanched glaciers, ice-flowing rivers as well as
surrealistically lush forests and impossibly-existing, yet tempting,
hot springs. We trek to the base camp (4130 m) from where expedition
team start the trip to scale the Annapurna peaks. Other major peaks
overlooking the Sanctuary include the Annapurna South (7,219m),
Gangapurna (7,455m) and Annapurna III (7,555m). Local villagers and
lodge owners welcome the trekkers with traditional hospitality and
smiling faces. Our return journey descends through the terraced Modi
Khola Valley and finally ends in Pokhara.
