tibet expedition >> Kyanjing Gompa to Ganjala Pass Trek |
This is a wilderness trek in the Langtang region. The trail passes
through south of Tarke Gyang in Helambu crossing the 5106m Ganja Pass
which remains usually blocked by snow from December to March. At any
time a bad weather change can make crossing the pass decidedly
dangerous. The walk takes five days climb between Kyanjing Gompa to
Tarke Gyang. There is no permanent settlement. The final climb to the
pass on both sides is steep. We can explore bio-diversity, cultural
diversity, beautiful panoramic views of the Himalayas and Helambu
Valley. Teahouse facilities are not available in Ganja La region;
hence trekking should be fully supported and self-sufficient to meet
all requirements.
