Lhakpa Ri is another attractive climbing peak, which divides the
upper East Rongbuk glacier and upper Kharta glacier. From summit of
Lhakpa Ri one can have great views of little known mountains such as
Nyonno Ri range in eastern Tibet, the north face of Chomolonzo and the
north faces of Makalu and Pethangtse, Shartse peak, east face of
Kangshung and Lhotse. It is technically straightforward climb with a
minimal danger and easy accessibility. There is also an unrivalled
view of the north east ridge of Everest, the North Col, Changtse, Cho
Oyu and Shishapangma.
This trip starts from Kathmandu with a flight to Lhasa. After 2 days
sightseeing in Lhasa we drive to Everest Base Camp and begin our
expedition. After Expedition we drive to Kathmandu via Kodari Border
and stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
