Lying close to the Tibetan border and south of the Tashi Lapcha Pass
in the Rolwaling area, Pacharmo peak is a less technically difficult
climbing peak. Considering the altitude and the peak's remoteness,
it's certainly challenging. The mountain is an attractive snow peak
with a well-defined ridge rising from the relative flat, crevassed
glacier. The route follows the Everest Base Camp trek from Lukla to
Namche Bazaar, Thame, Thengpo to Ngole and so on to the base camp and
finally to the Pacharmo peak. It was first climbed in 1955 from north
west ridge and it still remains the main route to the Summit. |
