VISA FORMALITIES: A traveler making entry into Lhasa from Kathmandu or any parts of mainland China requires the Chinese Visa as well as a special Tibet permit. Original passport has to be submitted while applying for visa/ permit at the Chinese Embassy in Nepal or abroad. We are eligible to process your visa/ permit even in Kathmandu before your arrival. Normally, Chinese embassy in Kathmandu opens every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:30 am to 11 pm. A Tibet- bound traveler requires to pay visa fee according to varying nationalities.
TRANSPORTATION: Your ground transportation is organized by our representative in Lhasa. With the exception of sightseeing in Lhasa, all sightseeing and transfers will be made by Toyota Land Cruiser. However, for the overland journey to Lhasa from Kathmandu we use Landcruiser for the travelers.
INSURANCE: All travelers visiting Tibet are strongly recommended to bring their own travel insurance from their own home country that adequately covers for medical, emergency rescue expenses, trip cancellations or any other eventual mishaps. One should not feel that Tibet trip is a pleasure tour since there is no basic tourist infrastructure and facilities in Tibet. One should feel that trip to Tibet is purely an adventurer and culture tour.
BOOKING & PAYMENT: Completed tour booking form must be accompanied by USD 100/- as trip deposit for confirmation of all bookings. The balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu before the tour begins. You may also book the trip directly through e-mail or fill up booking form in our Website. One should intimate us the transfer of payment by sending a copy of Bank Remittance. Payment should make telegraphic transfer to our Bank Account as details given below.
Climate: Although temperatures vary greatly in a single day, sometimes can drop 15 degree C, the climate is not as harsh as most people imagine it being, especially the central area such as Lhasa, Tsedang and Shigatse. The major cities in Tibet have mild weather all year around, not hot in the summer, and not cold in the winter. It rains quite often during monsoon and reaches 12 inches of rainfall, but it hardly ever shows snows and wintertime because of its dry weather. Sunshine is immense.
